Warriors Invade Strandhill

Well, what a weekend we had. The annual warriors run took place. Over 800 runners tackled 15 km's of uphill and mountainous terrain. It's an insane run but the most scenic and fun run I have ever done.

 

The streets are lined with supporters. The whole village comes out to cheer you up every hill. The peak of the run is a climb up knocknarae to circle Queen Maeve's Tomb. Incredible. The sun shone, the music pumped and Strandhill came to life.

We had 4 of the shells crew complete the run, which meant the weekend off, to run and of course celebrate!

It was party central in the village, with a street party vibe. Music on the streets, in Marquee's. People everywhere- a great end to August!

The next day saw Shells face one of our busiest days this summer- feeding the weary and hungover! and that was just the staff!
